The Wow! Moment

Tour participants are asked to cite their favorite wow moment. The view of the Alhambra and experience at restaurant Carmen in Granada often tops the chart.
Jorge led us up the Albayzín hill for dinner together and the breathtaking sunset view of the Alhambra. By this time of the tour everyone was comfortable with each other - more than ready for some fun!
The Alhambra
We toured the last and greatest of Europe's Moorish palaces with a local guide. The use of multiple guides on Rick Steves tours is something we have come to appreciate. Each brings new perspectives and knowledge to the tour experience.

A Ronda Picnic
A Rick Steves tour would be lacking without a Rick Steves inspired picnic. We sought out a local deli with fellow travelers Helen and Phil. Ordered up some tasty Iberico jamon and queso on fresh rolls. The proprietors referred us next door, where we picked up some cold cerveza.
We found a cool place to eat our lunch. The view wasn't shabby either.
A Vacation from Your Vacation
Following a busy day in Ronda, we headed to the outskirts, and what was to become our vacation from your vacation. We've grown to appreciate this diversion on previous Rick Steves tours. We and our fellow travelers walked the gardens, enjoyed the outdoor pool, Happy Hour. Dined while listening to classical guitarist Paco Seco. Special moments.
Bullfighter? Someone should have told Kelly to remove the headphones. That, and, ditch the Nikes, Cabelas rainjacket and REI shorts. Shout-outs to the sponsors!

Matador Rafael Tejada owns and runs this bull farm near Ronda, complete with a practice bullring.
A Paella Lunch
